Investing the Boglehead Way for the New Year

Jerome Moisand, the coordinator of the Metro-Boston Bogleheads chapter will present Passive Investing 101: An Introduction to Asset Allocation at the Weaver Library on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 7 pm.

Moisand, who spent his career in telecommunications, and is now financially independent, will teach participants how to invest like a Boglehead in this timely workshop meant for adults of all ages.

Moisand will review basics such as goals, fears, and risks, stocks vs. bonds, domestic vs. international stocks, and portfolios as an aggregate.

Originally called “Vanguard Diehards,” Bogleheads follow the investment philosophy of Jack Bogle, the founder of Vanguard, the world’s largest fund company. Boglehead principles include living frugally and investing regularly, using index funds, keeping costs low, and most importantly, staying the course whatever the market may do.

Whether you are a recent investor or a well-seasoned veteran, this personal finance workshop may give you a new direction for 2019.

Weaver Library is located at 41 Grove Avenue, East Providence, RI 02914.

This program is free and open to all.
