PHILIPPINE SEA (Jan. 30, 2019)
Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Scott Mountain, from Taunton, Mass., directs an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter, assigned to the “Island Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 25, from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) during a replenishment-at-sea (RAS).
Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
