Thank you to City of Attleboro’s Valuable Employees

On Sunday 04 August 2019 our City of Attleboro and surrounding communities were hit by a powerful “micro burst” that caused countless downed trees, damaged homes, flooded streets, and loss of power to thousands of residents.
Members of Attleboro Firefighters Local 848 responded that day to 62 emergency calls with the majority related to this intense storm. Miraculously, amidst the devastation, only minor injuries resulted.
We would like to say thank you to the incredible group of Attleboro Employees our City has that keep Attleboro running everyday and keep our City safe during times like this.
Thank you to all the Members of Attleboro Firefighters Local 848, Attleboro Police Association, Laborers Local 1144 (Attleboro DPW, Forestry, Park-Recreation, Water Departments) and to the working men and women of National Grid who together successfully investigated, identified, mitigated and removed the hazards from this unprecedented storm. Strong work by all!
Sincerely,
Paul W. Jacques, President
