“JAZZIN”: ATTLEBORO PUBLIC LIBRARY

Jazzin’ the Blues Concert with Paul Speidel

On Saturday, April 4th, at 2 pm, the Attleboro Public Library will be hosting professional musician Paul Speidel for an entertaining and historical musical performance! This curated concert takes listeners on a musical journey from the beginnings of Jazz and its Country Blues roots, through each subsequent period of Jazz evolution, bringing them right up to the modern day with examples of the Blues influences—not just in Jazz—but also Latin, Soul and Rock-n-Roll! This event is free and open to the public but registration is recommended. Please contact the Library at 508-222-0157 or visit attleborolibrary.org to register.

Paul Speidel has performed at major clubs and festivals in the Greater Boston area, such as Scullers, Ryles, Johnny D’s, Acton Jazz Cafe, and many others.  He taught Jazz and Blues in the Newton Public Schools for many years, and has presented programs at public and private venues in the area, as well.  Last year, he had the privilege of performing live on WBUR’s “Radio Boston” program to nearly 500,000 listeners, and has appeared on countless other area radio shows over the years, including WBZ with Jordan Rich.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Attleboro Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
