WEEKLY FARMERS MARKET

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (August 6, 2021) – Every week, the Weaver Library Farmers’ Market can be found on the lawn of the library on Thursdays from 4 -7pm in rain or shine. And, this summer, we could certainly use more shine! Join us at the Market on August 19th to support the local farmers and producers who work in all kinds of weather. Taste real flavors, and meet the person who grew or made your food. Be proud that you could make a dinner from ingredients grown in Rhode Island!
Maggie’s Healing Path returns to the weekly pop-up artisan booth. The popular folk trio Farm Dog also returns to entertain Market goers with their fun “old time” sound.
Every good Farmers’ Market has wonderful bakers and Weaver Library’s Market is no exception. Come early though, as Three Wishes Bakery, often sells out of their mouth-watering, gluten-free treats. Make sure you try their donuts and you will become a fan whether you eat gluten-free or not.
Need a beach book? The Friends of the East Providence Public Library continue their weekly book sale with a special offer of a free soft cover book for all children.
Food access remains a priority for the Market. The Welcome Table accepts SNAP/EBT, WIC Coupons, Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program coupons, and credit or debit cards. Thanks to a grant from Farm Fresh RI, SNAP customers can double their SNAP. For every dollar swiped, SNAP customers get a FREE dollar in Bonus Bucks for fruits and vegetables.
For the most current market information, see the Weaver Library Farmers’ Market Facebook page or call the library at 401-434-2453. Anyone experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms and/ or has been exposed to COVID-19 is kindly asked to stay home and join us on another week.
