This near monopoly deal should be killed by the Federal Trade Commission. It should be killed by RI’s Attorney General, under the Hospital Conversion Act — and it should be killed by the Department of Health who also has to permit it.
It is an outrage that we allow this insider game to be played with our health. It’s shameful and it needs to be fixed.
We need to bring Partner’s Health (the best healthcare in the world) back to buy Care New England and let them start competing for patients instead of patients competing for an appointment.
