Enjoying art in person gives a sense of scale. While artwork can now often be viewed on a computer screen, the online experience lacks presence.
When you view artwork in person, large artworks have an impact from a distance while small artworks invite the viewer to get up close. Other elements of art like texture and sheen are also often hard to see in a photo.
