BOSTON SCIENCE MUSEUM – YOUNG LEARNERS

Activities for Young Learners

Want to find exhibits and experiences perfect for young scientists? Look for this symbol around the Museum!

Live Presentations and Drop-In Activities

When it’s presented live, science really comes to life. Each day, our dynamic educators give not-to-be-missed presentations on everything from quantum physics to the expanding universe. Want some hand-on science? Stop by one of our Drop-In Activities!

To the Moon

Celebrate the American race to the Moon.

Permanent

Young learners can explore the Exhibit Halls and pretend to be an astronaut in the “Apollo Command Module”, compare their handprint to the footprint of a T. rex, create a ball run in the Engineering Design Workshop, meet some of the 120 live animals that call the Museum home, and much more!

Don’t forget to check the Daily Schedule for scheduled programs like Live Animal Story Time and keep an eye out for pop-up activities in the Hall of Human Life, Yawkey Gallery Field Station, and Engineering Design Workshop.
