First Annual National Second Amendment Day Raises $5,223 for Dare to Dream Ranch Military Retreat
Burrillville, RI — The First Annual National Second Amendment Day in Rhode Island raised $5,223 in donations to benefit Dare to Dream Ranch Military Retreat, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans and helping them find healing, recovery, and renewed purpose.
The donation was recently presented to Karen Dalton, founder and owner of Dare to Dream Ranch, during a check presentation recognizing the success of the June 27 event at Addieville East Farm in Burrillville.
Victor Mellor, candidate for Congress, joined Andre Mendez and Will Worthy, owners of Big Bear Hunting & Fishing in Glocester and The Range in Exeter, to present Dalton with the $5,223 check.
“We are incredibly proud that National Second Amendment Day was able to give back to the men and women who have given so much to our country,” said Victor Mellor. “This event brought together families, firearm enthusiasts, businesses, veterans, and members of our community, and most importantly, it allowed us to support an organization doing important work for veterans.”
Dalton expressed her appreciation for the contribution and the community support behind the fundraiser.
“We are extremely grateful for the generosity of everyone who participated in National Second Amendment Day,” said Karen Dalton. “These funds will help us continue our mission of providing veterans with meaningful opportunities for healing, connection, and support.”
The event organizers extend their sincere thanks to Big Bear Hunting & Fishing, The Range, and Addieville East Farm for hosting and supporting the inaugural event, as well as to Victor Mellor for sponsoring the event. Appreciation also goes to the vendors, speakers, performers, volunteers, attendees, and donors who helped make the fundraiser a success.
