NPR???s ???Wait Wait??? Don???t Tell Me??? Live in Providence, May 12
??”Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!” is NPR???s popular, Peabody Award-winning quiz show featuring a rotating panel of comedians, humorists and journalists.
??The program will be taped at the Providence Performing Arts Center on Thursday May 12th. It will be broadcast across the country on hundreds of NPR stations on the weekend of the 14th and 15th. Rhode Island Public Radio will carry it at 10AM on May 14th and again at noon on May 15th.
Peter Sagal will host the program with Bill Kurtis as official judge and scorekeeper. While the panelists compete only for honor and glory, listeners can call in to compete for the most coveted prize in Public Radio: Carl Kasell recording a personal voicemail greeting.
??The panelists for the Providence episode will be: Amy Dickinson, author of the syndicated advice column ???Ask Amy???; Peter Grosz, current writer for Late Night With Seth Meyers and former writer for The Colbert Report; and Mo Rocca, correspondent for CBS Sunday Morning.
??Tickets go on sale March 10th. Rhode Island Public Radio will offer a special pre-sale of a few select seats during its next pledge drive from March 2nd ??? March 9th. The pledge drive will also feature a drawing for a VIP ticket package including 4 premium tickets to the show and to an after-show reception with the cast.
