ATTLEBORO LAND TRUST VOLUNTEERS

OPENING CELEBRATION JUNE 9th

C CHARLES Richardson_FLIER

Work continues at the Richardson Preserve, 577B Wilmarth Street in Attleboro, in preparation for the Opening Celebration on June 9. We have received lots of volunteer help for which we are very grateful, and much has been accomplished. Looking ahead, we could use help for the following:??

Opening Celebration coordinator Bertha Young still needs more volunteers to help with the event on June 9. Volunteers are need to help set up, staff information tables, and take things down when the event is over. She also needs a crew to direct vehicles to parking in the hay field. This could be a teen youth group project satisfying community service requirements. To volunteer, reply to this email or email Bertha directly at berthayoung85@gmail.com

A complete event schedule is posted here:

We need someone with a pickup truck with a trailer hitch to pick up a two-wheeled towable auger from the rental department at Home Depot in South Attleboro and deliver it to the Richardson Preserve on Thursday morning, May 31.

This is to drill post holes for a fence construction project to be done for us on that day by volunteers from Sensata Technologies. The auger could be picked up from Home Depot on Wednesday evening.

As previously announced there will be work parties at the Richardson Preserve on the following date to work on a variety of tasks, including brush clearing and weeding Deborah’s Garden. If someone could bring a standard size lawn mower for mowing a few small select areas, that would be awesome.??

Saturday, June 2, 9:00 am to 12:00 noon??

Thank you.
