Bio:
Hiroya Tsukamoto is a Japanese-born fingerstyle guitarist who moved to the United States in 2000 to attend the Berklee College of Music. Needless to say, he’s not only a dizzyingly agile fingerpicker, but a soulful and transcendent performer, with compositions that combine instrumental guitar work with lyrical performance and spoken stories from his life.
Tsukamoto has been recognized for his talents on stages such as at Blue Note in New York City, Japanese National Television (NHK), International Storytelling Center and United Nations, and by scoring second place at the International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship both in 2018 and 2022.

Story Songs of the 70s is a seasonal concert series by Maine-based singer/songwriter, Tom DiMenna, and features songs by 3 legendary songwriters of the vinyl era — Gordon Lightfoot, Cat Stevens, and Harry Chapin. This folk-rock act blends lush vocals, intricate guitar playing and iconic story songs into a sound that’s both intimate and powerful. This special Summer edition features songs like “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” by Gordon Lightfoot, “Peace Train” by Cat Stevens, and “30,000 Pounds of Bananas” by Harry Chapin. It’s a carefully crafted presentation of the timeless songs that shaped a generation — performed with heart, humor, and resonance.
Join us for back to back nights, with Story Songs Volume 1 on Saturday August 1st. And Story Songs Volume 2 on Sunday August 2nd. Volume 2 will also feature songs by Jim Croce, James Taylor, John Prine, and Leonard Cohen!

22nd Annual Provincetown Jazz Festival

The Cape’s longest-running jazz festival returns for its 22nd year—and this one promises to be special.
Brazilian-born, New York-based vocalist Jamile makes her Cape Cod debut, joined by the Cape Cod Jazz Quartet: Steve Ahern on trumpet and flute, Fred Boyle on piano, Ron Ormsby on bass, and Bart Weisman on drums.
The Quartet opens with a Miles Davis Centennial Tribute before handing the spotlight to Jamile for an evening that bridges continents and generations.
Since 2005, this festival has been a cornerstone of Cape Cod’s jazz scene. The stages have hosted Molly Ringwald, Lea DeLaria, Nicki Parrott, Billy Stritch, Rebecca Parris, Evan Christopher, Howard Alden, Greg Abate, Shawnn Monteiro, and dozens more.
Year after year, Bart Weisman has curated lineups that remind us why jazz remains one of the most vital art forms we have.
A portion of proceeds supports Jazz in the Schools, bringing music education to young people across the Cape.
